The reference unit shown here is a custom double-C brand logo in matte 1K spray-painted red. It combines a welded metal shell, a convex thermoformed acrylic face with rounded edges, and integrated front-lit LED modules — a typical storefront or brand-wall sign where the painted color and dimensional shape carry the brand identity even before the lights turn on.
What Is It?
Painted channel letters are a type of illuminated dimensional sign in which a formed metal casing is spray-painted with a matte or glossy finish and fitted with a translucent convex acrylic face that diffuses internal LED light. Unlike flat-cut metal letters, the convex face and smooth painted shell give the sign a rounded, three-dimensional appearance that stays visible day and night. Materials & Construction
The sign can be fabricated with aluminum, stainless steel, acrylic (PMMA), and other suitable materials depending on the project design and environmental requirements. Typical construction includes a welded or folded metal channel shell, a thermoformed convex acrylic face sealed to the shell with silicone, front-facing LED modules mounted inside the cavity, and a rear cover plate for wall mounting. The painted finish is applied in our spray booth and air-dried, producing a smooth matte or gloss surface.
